SLSC Community Service Project

Dear SkillsUSA Advisors:

As we gear up for the upcoming State Conference, I am excited to introduce a meaningful opportunity for our SkillsUSA community to give back: our State Conference Service Project — Sock It To Me!

This year, we’re partnering with St. Vincent de Paul to support their Sock It To Me program, which provides essential socks and underwear to individuals experiencing homelessness in the Eugene area. We are encouraging all chapters to participate by bringing new socks and underwear to the State Conference, where they will be collected and donated to this important cause.

Here’s how your chapter can get involved:

Encourage your members to bring new socks and underwear to the State Conference.

Donations will be collected at the designated drop-off location at the event.

All items will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul to directly support those in need.

This is a fantastic way for students to make a real impact while demonstrating the core values of leadership, service, and community engagement that define SkillsUSA. Together, we can make a meaningful difference for those in need in Eugene.

Please spread the word to your chapters, and let’s come together to support this important initiative! If you have any questions or need further details, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Let’s make this year’s State Conference not only a time for growth and celebration but also a chance to give back!

SLSC Chapter Sticker Challenge

SLSC Community Service Project

Dear SkillsUSA Advisors:

As we gear up for the upcoming State Conference, I am thrilled to introduce an exciting new twist to the Chapter Pin Challenge which will add an extra layer of enthusiasm and creativity to our conference: the Chapter Sticker Challenge!

This year, we’re challenging all chapters to design and create their own unique chapter sticker to be showcased and traded at the State Conference. These stickers will serve not only as symbols of your chapter’s identity but also as tradeable tokens to encourage collaboration and discussion among our SkillsUSA community.

Here are the details of the challenge:

Each chapter is invited to design and produce their own chapter sticker.

Stickers should creatively represent your chapter’s spirit including geography, values, and/or accomplishments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for your students to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and pride in their chapter. Additionally, participating in the Chapter Sticker Challenge offers a fun way to connect with peers from other chapters and strengthen the bonds of our SkillsUSA community.

Here are some companies you may wish to use that will accommodate a quick turnaround time. You are also welcome to make homemade stickers or use other companies!

Please encourage your students to embrace this challenge and start brainstorming ideas for their chapter stickers. I can’t wait to see the incredible designs and creativity that will emerge from our talented students across the state.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make this year’s State Conference an unforgettable experience for all!
